Confirmation Ministry

Confirmation Ministry is a process by which Youth and their parents, Mentors, and other parishioners worship, study, fellowship, and serve together in preparation for the Rite of Confirmation/Affirmation of Faith. Confirmation Ministry has 5 components...Worship, Learning, Fellowship, Service, and Mentoring. We worship and pray, explore the Scriptures and the History of God’s Grace in the midst of His People, enjoy outings, retreats, and Youth Events, find meaningful ways to explore Christ’s call to experience the fullness of living through service to others, and develop a relationship with a mentor, who will invest time and energy in the development of our Faith. Through these activities and events, we explore the significance of our Baptism into the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We seek to develop our relationships with our brothers and sisters in Christ, and to more fully engage with living out our Faith each day. After two years (typically grades 9 & 10) of faithful involvement in the 5 components, youth are invited by the Pastoral Staff to share in the final preparations for the Rite of Confirmation. This involves a series of sessions/discussions which are typically scheduled for Sunday afternoons. Contact Pastor Ekstrand or Pastor Short for details.
